Exhibitions

Painting, sculpture, drawing ... the new 2016 Paris autumn cultural season has an impressive line-up of exhibitions. The works of major artists will be on show in Parisian museums: René Magritte at the Centre Pompidou with ‘La Trahison des images’ (‘The Treachery of Images’), four decades after the major retrospective of 1979. The five motifs fire, shadows, curtains, words and the fragmented body are omnipresent references in the work of the Belgian artist, and are present in both his well-known and less-well-known works. At the Musée Jacquemart-André, the exhibition ‘Rembrandt, les années décisives’ traces the three key stages of the artist’s work.
