The Paris motor show is held every two years. In 2016, the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles trade fair grounds will welcome car lovers and trade professionals from around the world from Saturday 1 October to Sunday 16 October. It is the most visited show in the world, with more than 1,250,000 visitors in 2014.
Dozens of launches and world premieres take place at this world-famous, must-see event packed with eye-catching stands and innovative events. At the last edition of the show, 265 car brands from 18 countries displayed their latest designs, while 10,000 visitors tested electric and hybrid vehicles at a dedicated testing centre: 20% more than in 2012.
Alongside the show proper, there are a host of car-related events, workshops and round table discussions focusing on economic, social and technical issues affecting the automobile sector. Some 1,000 experts took part in the various debates in 2104. The show gets huge international media coverage, with more than 10,000 accredited journalists from 103 countries. It generates hundreds of hours of French and international TV and radio coverage in places as far-flung as Brazil, Mexico and the U.S. During the last edition, the show’s website registered than 8,200,000 page views.
The motor show is open to the trade and the general public alike, with a well-organized schedule of press days, trade-only days, general public days and late openings. There are special arrangements for group visits.
