The three lives of the Hôtel Gaillard

Citéco - Entrée, Paris

A gem of Neo-Renaissance architecture, the venue was built in 1882. This outstanding setting, the whole of which has been listed as a Historical Monument, is steeped in a wealth of history marked by three key periods: initially the private residence of banker Émile Gaillard, it was then converted into one of the Banque de France's most elegant branches before being completely revamped in 2019 to become the Cité de l’Économie. Visitors discover concepts and key economic issues in an interactive and fun way, across a display area of 2,400 m².

Each of these periods left a lasting impression on the Hôtel Gaillard, which are reflected in the building today.
