Italian journey with Cucina, by Alain Ducasse
Renowned triple-starred chef Alain Ducasse has just opened Cucina, a new Italian restaurant within the Maison de la Mutualité — a well-known art deco events venue on Paris’s Left Bank. It is the chef’s second collaboration with GL Events, after the opening of Spoon 2 at the Palais Brongniart.

With Cucina, Alain Ducasse has opted for a menu that is thoroughly Italian in an iconic Paris reception venue. At the helm in the kitchen, Matteo Lorenzini oversees traditional simple and generous Mediterranean cooking. This affordable restaurant is open every day of the week for lunch and dinner. Starters and main dishes include mini pizzas, a selection of cured meat, antipasti, risotto, and linguine with clams. For dessert, there are the great Italian classics like tiramisu, and chocolate ice cream from the Manufacture. Cucina can accommodate up to 68 guests.

To complete this modern trattoria, the decoration of the dining room has been entrusted to celebrated designer Jean-Michel Wilmotte. The latter, who also oversaw the renovation of the Mutualité in 2012, has opted for contemporary and colourful interiors. Italian influences can be found in the smallest details such as the white Carrara marble that runs along the beautiful bar.
