Situated in the lively district of La Défense, this evocatively-named restaurant (from the Latin bibe, to drink, and gustum, to taste) serves up quality French food. The menu mixes classic brasserie fare such as tartare, snails with parsley and garlic, and traditional pâté, with some of the chef’s signature dishes such as his wonderful pasta shells with ham, comté cheese and black truffles. For those with a sweet tooth, the chocolate fondants from the Manufacture Alain Ducasse are truly yummy.
The interior decor, by celebrated architect Christian de Portzamparc, are understated and refined with concrete, light oak, banquettes, stylish chairs, and suspended lights.
Bib & Guss is open from 12 noon to 9pm on weekdays, and in the evenings and on weekends according to Paris La Défense Arena’s musical or sporting calendar. It is a great place for a drink or a meal at any time of day. The restaurant (seats 92 people indoors) can also host meetings of up to 10 people in a private room. On fine days, the 36-seat terrace is ideal for business breakfasts, coffee, or a cocktail party. Take advantage of an event at Paris La Défense Arena for a convivial after-work event!
