At the last edition of the show, 245 car brands from 19 countries displayed their latest designs, showing 140 novelties, and the possibility to try the autonomous car.
Alongside the show proper, there are a host of car-related events, workshops and exhibitions focusing on economic, social and technical issues affecting the automobile sector. The show gets huge international media coverage, with more than 10,000 accredited journalists from 100 countries. It generates hundreds of hours of French and international TV and radio coverage in places as far-flung as Brazil, Mexico and the U.S.
