Le Musée de l’Homme
The Musée de l’Homme has a splendid situation on Place du Trocadéro in the magnificent Palais de Chaillot. It affords an unrivalled view of the Eiffel Tower and can host up to 1,000 people. Our favourite is without a doubt the Atrium Paul Rivet with its 16-metre-high ceiling and glass roof. This 400 m² reception space welcomes cocktail receptions for up to 500 people or sit-down dinners for 240 guests. The Atrium can be combined with two other adjacent spaces, the Lounge and the Foyer. Together, the 3 surface areas can host up to 440 people for a sit-down dinner or 1,000 for a cocktail reception.
Another option: the three temporary exhibition halls which form a U around the Science Balcony. These second-floor 800 m² spaces can be used to plan exclusive fashion shows and exceptional evening events between two exhibitions for up to 380 people for a sit-down dinner. The Café Lucy, on the second floor of the Museum is bathed in natural light from its large distinctive glass windows. Next to the Science Balcony, it offers a privileged setting to host your breakfast and cocktail parties for up to 150 people. Also available, the Jean Rouch Auditorium - completely renovated in 2015 - is ideally suited to your conferences, seminars, or study days.
And why not benefit from the exceptional visiting conditions to discover the permanent collections or a temporary exhibition at the Musée de l’Homme, either at your own leisure or accompanied by a tour guide in conjunction with your event?
La Grande Galerie de l’Evolution
Situated in the 5th arrondissement of the capital, the Gallery of Evolution with its impressive, preserved specimen collections is a perfect venue for your seminars, colloquies, or study days. Spaces available to hire include a range of exhibition areas featuring industrial decor, the Museum’s grand amphitheatre, and the balconies of the Gallery of Evolution, for events for up to 1,200 people for a cocktail reception.
The Gallery of Evolution’s Auditorium (196 m²) including a stage (42 m²), has 120 seats equipped with tablets for your presentations.
Le Jardin des Plantes
Bordering the Gallery of Evolution, the 5-hectare formal French garden in the Jardin des Plantes is a splendid setting for a grandiose outdoor evening function. It offers a unique perspective, with the Gallery of Evolution as a backdrop. You will be able to enjoy the George Ville and Guy de la Brosse pathways, at the centre of the perspective, which each offer two areas of around 600 m². Your guests will appreciate the wonderful square-shaped flowerbeds during their cocktail reception or garden party-style dinner.
In front of the Gallery of Evolution, the Esplanade Milne Edwards can host up to 1,500 people for a cocktail buffet and 400 for a banquet. For your receptions, a temporary structure may be installed on its lawn (approx. 1,200 m) which runs alongside the Grande Serre Tropicale. The Allée Cuvier, a timeless haven of greenery extending over 2,500 m² away from the buzz of the city, is ideally suited to fashion shows, showrooms, dinners and cocktail receptions.
And for your indoor presentations, the Museum’s Grand Amphitheatre can accommodate up to 315 for a conference-style event and also offers the possibility of coffee breaks in its Foyer and walkways.
Le Parc Zoologique de Paris
The Parc Zoologique de Paris, in the east of Paris within the Bois de Vincennes, has the capacity to accommodate 2,000 people for a cocktail reception, perfect for an outdoor event in an unusual setting! It is also possible to host an event with a snack or cocktail aperitif for 500 people on the square at the entrance to the Parc, combined with a self-guided visit of this wildlife park that was completely renovated several years ago.
Inside the Parc, the big lawn (approx. 1,500 m²), named ‘Les Clairières’ is the ideal spot for the installation of a temporary structure to host events of different formats.
The Salle Achille Urbain, a practical and convivial space (approx. 100 m²), can also host your meetings, conferences, or screenings for up to 70 people. It welcomes your receptions, breakfasts, or cocktail lunches.
The Parc Zoologique de Paris is available for private hire during the week, either in part or in its entirety. Unique activities can also be offered to your guests such as attending the feeding sessions of wolves, sea lions, penguins, and manatees or ‘medical training’ sessions (also called veterinary conditioning, which seek to teach animals to let themselves be handled with confidence).
In the evening, when the Grandes Serres are closed to the public, your guests will have the privilege of being able to escape into the wonderful world of the fabulous plant collections of these huge glasshouses.
