Description
Founded in the 9th century by Charles II the Bald, it covers all of France's history. In the factory at 11 quai de Conti, gold and silver coins are still produced today.
To help the public discover this rich heritage, the Monnaie de Paris opened in 2017.
The whole site of the Monnaie de Paris is now accessible, 1.2 hectares in the 6th arrondissement of Paris, offering a new approach to heritage through:
The entire site, covering 1.2 hectares in the heart of the 6th arrondissement of Paris, offers exceptional spaces to host your events.
This building, a neo-classical masterpiece from the 18th century, reveals its many secrets: 5 interior courtyards, the majestic Guillaume Dupré Salon d'Honneur and its succession of ceremonial reception rooms, a corporate museum dedicated to the know-how of the Monnaie de Paris artisans, with a unique museography offering views of the art workshops...
Guy Savoy's restaurant in the salons on the Seine, the Café Frappé in the Cour de la Méridienne and the Monnaie de Paris boutique can complete this tailor-made event offer.
The spaces can be privately hired throughout the week, although their availability depends on the establishment's cultural programme.
